Our volunteers and staff here in Columbus County, will not judge you nor make you feel bad about mistakes you may have made; however, our advocates will try to help you learn from your mistakes. This process may involve helping you to reevaluate your current behaviors and relationships. Most women are relieved to find someone who can answer their questions and lend support and practical help. Your counselor will want to make sure that you understand both the physical risks and emotional difficulties you may face if you have an abortion. She will help you think through the reasons for your choice and explore how your choices fit in with your beliefs. She will make sure you understand how the pregnancy care center can support you in your choice to give birth. Your counselor will make sure that you are aware of how adoption might be a positive choice for you and your baby. We are not an adoption agency, but will refer you to professionals who can help you explore this option. Your counselor will want you to understand that nobody can take your baby from you by force.
